I’m On My Way to the WUWT Gathering in Connecticut

I received an invitation from Bob Phelan to attend a gathering of WattsUpWithThat blog participants at his Connecticut home in mid August. I was more than happy to accept.

Connecticut is a long way from Newfoundland so I figured I’d start early and save a few bucks by taking my kayak. The following animation, which uses the latest in satellite-tracking technologies, shows my progress so far. (You may need to ckick on the animation.)

In other words, I wrote this post because I needed a mindless couple of minutes away from writing Who Turned on the Heat? The Unsuspected Global Warming Culprit, El Niño-Southern Oscillation

But, seriously, I do plan to be there. And I thank Bob for the invitation.

    Bob –
Next time take the “Hokulea” and leave the rowing to a crew of mama-wahines. I believe they even have a vessel now that can sail on ice, and has enough room on board to stow a kayak or two. Aloha! Bon Voyage! And have a great time in New England! PS: The on-board pit barbequed pork is to swim for!;-)

    Are you serious??

  3. Bob Tisdale says:

Matthew W, yes and no. Yes, I’m attending the gathering in Connecticut. No, I’m not kayaking from Newfoundland to Connecticut. At my age, after 4 hours of kayaking, I need to nap for 8 hours.
