>Dear Big Oil:

It has come to my attention that I am in your pocket. Refer to the following screen capture from the NewsBusters.org blog.

Proof Of Bob Tisdale Being In The Pocket Of Big Oil

Note that being in the pocket of Big Oil implies that I am receiving payment from you for my “flat earther” blog posts. Unfortunately, I, as of this writing, have received no Big Oil moneys. I assume this is simply an oversight or a minor accounting error on your part, Big Oil.

Since you’ve sent my payments to another Bob Tisdale or have apparently missed my Paypal donations link, Big Oil, I’d like to point out that the said PayPal link is at the bottom of this webpage.

Any and all donations, Big Oil, would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Bob Tisdale

  1. >Gosh, what an honor Bob!The irony of the poster there who throws around labels and insults under a cowardly handle is obviously lost on him/her since you and I both put our name to what we post.Typical angry rantomatic coward. Pay no attention.

  2. Bob Tisdale says:

    >Anthony: I actually laughed out loud when I stumbled on that one. I found it almost a humorous as the comments at Tamino's that attacked my politics a few months ago.If ignorance is bliss, then our opposition in AGW discussions must have reached nirvana, because their comments project nothing but an inability to grasp the obvious. That's all I do here, as you well know. I plot data, provide background, and discuss what's obvious.

  3. Ben says:

    >Come on Bob, I'm regularly reading your articles. Wouldn't it be fair if you transferred a small percentage of this Big Oil money to my account? After all, if we share the same thoughts, we can also share the money.

    >Hi Bob,Since you have never clearly defined your professional background in scientific data analyses (besides being a professional blogger), I would find it particularly helpful if you could expound on that subject (you don't have to name your employers, but at least give a general idea about the type of industries you worked for) to make it clear that you have no such associations that you are being accused of here.Dennis H.

  5. Deadman says:

    >It’s not just the oil companies: there are other evil corporations and secret societies doing their damnedest to stop the good, noble, prophets of global doom.I, too, however, despite my efforts to calumniate AGW have so far received not one piece of silver and not even a friendly e-mail giving a description of a secret handshake.Exxon, Shell, Illuminati, etc., you have my address.

  6. Bob Tisdale says:

    >Dennis H: I didn't take the accusations seriously, and in the same vane, I won't consider your request for my personal information seriously either. If you don't agree with how I present data or with my interpretations, present your own data and interpretations. That's what this blog is here for. My background has nothing to do with YOUR opinions and understandings, now does it? Have a Happy New Year, Dennis.

  7. MCB says:

    >Bob,Why is it that everyone is in the pocket of big oil and not big coal? Does coal not have enough money to buy scientists? Is it some nefarious plot? Or is it just coalism or is that oilism?Regards,Mark Baker

  8. dbo says:

    >Bob,I am dbo and I left that comment at newsbusters. I can assure you that the header I chose was meant to be a sarcastic joke. The poster I was replying to is a well known troll (007memo) at newsbusters who I have tangled with before and is someone who knows absolutely zero about climate science. My comment to him was in reply to his statement in which he trotted out the usual alarmists mantra of attacking the messenger but not the message. 007memo said: Your links provide a good laugh, but no science, jeff poor. "…Inhofe disputing the so-called "warmest decade on record" talking point that is a favorite of global warming alarmists and is based on narrowly interpreted climate data." That link you provide as "proof" of something or other, is to a two bit flat earther weatherman at a right wing radio station in San Diego. Oh well then, call off the Copenhagen Summit! The flat earther weatherman's name is Anthony Watts…In reality, the link he is referring to was on the WUWT website but was written by yourself. Since I caught the troll slagging someone (Anthony) who did not write the article, I found it amusing and thus my header "Change that-Bob Tisdale is in the pocket of big oil" was written as if I were the troll that just realized my mistake so now I would have to throw my usual meaningless ad homs at Bob Tisdale. I could have put a 😉 after my header but since everybody knows me at newsbusters I didn't bother. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Btw, keep up the good work.Gee…I feel like I just had my 15 minutes of fame. 🙂

  9. Bob Tisdale says:

    >dbo: Thanks for the confirmation. Based on the rest of the comment, I assumed the header was written tongue in cheek. I truly enjoyed being in the pocket of Big Oil, though. Made me feel…kinda…slippery. Regards

    >Bob: "Made me feel…kinda…slippery."Just as slippery as when you don't answer basic simple questions about your general background and experience? By maintaining this rather secretive identify and background while also trying to obtain public fame has never really worked for those that have tried that. You see Bob, the more you put yourself out there to gain further public notoriety, the more you will have questions like mine about who you really are and what groups/organizations you have worked for or have been associated with. You have already told me that you are independently wealthy enough and don't need to work for anyone. The investigative public will only find this secretive nature of yours to be an even greater reason to investigate your background further.By the way, if you are so financially secure as you state, then why do you ask for tips on this blog site? Is your greed coming into play here or do you just need some pocket change from your fans and followers?Just a friendly reminder to expect more of this type of questioning, and not just from me. Your slippery nature will give you more trouble than if you would just become more forthcoming.Have a Happy New Year!Dennis H.

    >Dennis: Thanks for the espressed concern, but I really do not care about the opinions of those who wish to undermine my posts.
